15th March 2010 Antti Buri resigns for 2010 with Enigma Motorsport
Enigma Motorsport are proud to announce the signing of Finnish driver Antti Buri for their 2010 assault on the MSA Formula Ford Championship of Great Britain. Antti, the reigning Northern European Zone Formula Ford champion, first drove for the team at Brands Hatch last year impressing with his mature attitude and displaying a clear talent for racing. Team boss and ex-Formula Ford Race winner, Linton Stutely said;
'Everyone at Enigma Motorsport is excited to be working with Antti for a full campaign in 2010, both Enigma and Antti's own LMS Racing team have put in a lot of work and development hours on the car and we hope to be fighting at the sharp end of the field this season.'
This year will see Enigma Motorsport running Antti in his own LMS Racing-owned Mygale chassis. The car has been prepared and development work undertaken in Finland by both Enigma and LMS engineers. During the season it will be prepared and run in the UK by Enigma Motorsport from its Peterborough base; however LMS will still have a part in running the car. The car will be powered using a Scholar engine due to a long term relationship LMS Racing have with the company. Antti will be sponsored during the season by Neontekniikka, OMP, Rados and bePARTS. Enigma Motorsport goes into 2010 entering only its second season of racing. Team director and chief engineer Thomas Farquhar said;
‘Last year was a learning curve for both Antti and Enigma Motorsport, both of us in our first year in the championship. This year is all about applying what we have learnt and going out to win. We believe we have the right car, driver and team personnel to do this and are looking to mount a challenge for this years overall championship.’
The team now will continue with its pre-season testing before heading to the first rounds of the MSA Formula Ford Championship of Great Britain at Oulton Park over the Easter weekend. Qualifying and race 1 takes place on Saturday 3rd of April and race 2 and 3 on bank holiday Monday 5th April. |
